Hello to all of you still in The Villages and also to those of you enjoying
the "beautiful" WI weather, Monday, May 16th, will
be our last meeting for the 2010-2011 membership year. With so many members having returned "up nort", we will have
the expected least attended meeting of the year. The other two clubs are faced with the same situation. Therefore, this year we are going to try something else for the May meeting. We will be joining
the On Wisconsin club at the Sea Breeze Recreation Center (SW corner of Buena Vista and Bailey Trail) for a joint
meeting of the two clubs. As you probably know, some of our
former members and friends joined the On Wisconson club when it formed due to its geographical location and others because
some of their friends were there. A joint meeting with them will allow us to have a meeting with a respectable number of attendees
and also give us a chance to enjoy the company of some of our former members. The Paradise club will not be joining us as they have an event planned that can not be relocated
to Sea Breeze. Each club will have a VERY short business
meeting followed by entertainment provided by Village entertainers Earle & Pat Le Vier. They will provide keyboard
music, singing, and an opportunity for dancing, too. Tables
will be set up for membership renewals (different tables for each club), shirt sales (common table), and a common 50/50 table. Seating will be round tables, cookies and coffee will be provided, and it's
a BYOB and snacks if you can't abide coffee or water. Our
business meeting will consist primarily of getting our club's charity donations approved by our attending membership.
Last year we donated money to Relay For Life, St. Theresa Soup Kitchen, Wildwood Soup Kitchen, and St. Vincent de Paul Food
Pantry. This year we would like to donate $200 to each of these charities plus $100 to the Moffett Center. The Board will
be looking for an approval of these charities and amounts at Monday's meeting. One last item. I have been told the the joint
WI club's May golf outing held last Saturday was by any measure a success. Everyone had a great time, the weather was
beautiful, and the beer was cold. We offer our thanks to Ray Haas (Paradise club) and his staff for another super event. We're
looking forward the the outing again in September. Well that's
it, again. See you at Monday's meeting, and those of you "up nort".... have a great summer.
For those who do not know what time Monday's meeting starts, it's the
same as our usual meeting. Doors open approximately 6:15pm. Business meeting at 7:00pm.
All 3 clubs run on the
same date and schedule unless they are having a special event.

Emailed 3/15/11 Hi,
Cheeseheads: With the afterglow of the Super Bowl win still lingering,
we can now look forward to March Madness with the WI Badgers and MU Golden Eagles--known by most of us as the Marquette Warriors
giving us some edge-of-your seat basketball entertainment. The WI Club
- Lake Sumter entertainment---husband and wife team called The Entertainers, should get you out of your seat and moving to
all of your favorite tunes. This is a B.Y.O. adult beverage event, so don't forget to bring it! First
of all though, on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Colony Cottage Rec., we will be taking nominations from the floor
to fill all of the board positions, with the elections to follow. Plans
are in place for our April 18, 2011 Annual Picnic, attended only by our club, at Colony Cottage. Food will
be catered by The Oakwood grill for only $12.50 per ticket. Tickets will be available at the March meeting. Our treasurer
requests that your payment be made in the form of a check made out to "Wisconsin Club".
It helps being able to track payments should questions arise. Since Oakwood
does not have a license to cater liquor to The Villages, we must make it a B.Y.O. Beer and Liquor--no problem, cuz the food
is soooooooo good!! There will be sign-up sheets for volunteers to help with games and other picnic activities. Ray Haas will be in attendance to get you signed up for the multi WI Clubs two 2011 golf
tournaments, too. The format will be a scramble starting at 12pm at Saddlebrook and Hawkes Bay with after golf festivities
held at Glenview Country Club. The dates for these are May 7th and September 17th.
Cost is $2/person/game with the money going to the prizes. You can also call Ray at 352-750-5142 to take care of this. We are now asking you all to start renewing your memberships for 2011/2012. The membership
dues are still only $5.00, and we are asking you to please pay by check, as it helps keep
the bookkeeping in order. Lois Meidenbauer and her committee will be working the membership renewal tables at the meeting.
I am proud to say our club is growing stronger, thanks to all of you. The
extra strong turn-out for our Brat Bash last month was great to see. A special thank you goes to member Denny Hanson for putting
this event together and doing such a terrific job for us. Three cheers!!!!! It was enjoyed by all, according to the feedback
that keeps on coming! Thanks, too, to the entire Bash committee! It was also great for Helen and I to see Sharon Kuhs, and
so many other members assisting in our Relay for Life Pancake Breakfast at Havana last month. The service they all provided
us was just fantastic....their smiles and the pancakes were great, as well!! See
ya! Mike Feeney President

Happy New Year to all of you Cheeseheads..I
hope your Holiday Season was very special, mine certainly was. The Rose Bowl kind of brought tears to glass eyes, but, remember,
there's always next year! Go, Badgers!! Now let's hope the Packers, Marquette Basketball, and the Milw. Bucks can
put us back on the map!
For our first meeting of this new year, January 17, 2011, we have the
exciting and talented songstress Amy Reese back for your dancing and listening pleasure. Our meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.
and her entertainment will follow at approximately 7:30, or however long it takes us to gather nominations for President and
new board members for 2011/2012! We need nominations made for all positions! Come early and B.Y.O.B. and your fellow Wisconsinites.
For our February 21, 2011 meeting we are planning a Big Brat Bash, hosted and
prepared outside the Rec Center by our own culinary specialist/member Denny "Emeril" Hanson. We will be selling
the Brats for $4.00 each including Baked Beans, Potato Salad, etc. and all the fixin's, including BEER, Coffee and Dessert.
An extra Brat will cost $2.00. Our February meeting schedule is as follows:
6:00 - 6:45 Dinner 7:00 - 7:30
Meeting 7:30 - 8-45 Entertainment
We need volunteers to make this BASH take place: 3 Grillers w/Webers,
Team Captain Denny Hanson, Phone: 608-577-9996 Brownie Bakers, Mary Viegut,
Captain, Phone: 352-553-5217
Please call these Captains a.s.a.p.
We need 8 other miscellaneous
volunteers--ticket-takers, runners, i.e.--to help at this meeting, too. Please call Irv Smith at 352-259-9330
to volunteer for these spots.
Information for our March 21, 2011 meeting, other than the meeting
start time of 7:00 p.m. and election of officers, will be forthcoming. However, know that the WISCONSIN SINGERS will be here
in March, performing tuesday and wednesday, March 15 and 16, 2011 at Savannah Center. Tickets will go on sale January
18 and 19, 2011 for WI Club members at $12.00 with a coupon, $14.00 without one. General Public tickets go on sale
January 20, 2011. Coupons, good for purchasing 8 tickets, will be given to members only at our January meeting on the 17th.
This event is the main Club Operations fund money-maker for all 3 clubs to remain alive and well. We need each household to
get 10 additional tickets sold, as it is absolutely necessary for us to sell out all 4 performances. I know we can count on
all of you to make an effort to make this happen!

Hello, all Wisconsonites! Welcome to the month of November. We are looking forward to a fun-filled month, beginning
with a Relay For Life event to be held on Nov. 9th at Bob Evans restaurant from 7:00 a.m. thru 8:00 p.m. During these
hours, Relay For Life will earn 15% of sales when you present the Bob Evans Community Fun Night flyer you received
in a previous e-mail.
On Nov. 14th, all WI Club chapters will participate
in the Golf Cart Parade to break a Guiness record and to support the Hope for the Warriors fund. To all of you
who wish to participate in this fun activity where there will be food vendors, soft drink vendors, entertainment, and Porta-Potties,
please register at any Country Club pro shop by Nov. 7, 2010. Or, you can register online--www.golfthevillages.com---with
a credit card.
When this site opens, click on "Cart Parade registration"
in the 'Warriors' section in the upper right corner of the home page where indicated. You can
print out a registration for hand carrying to the pro shops, too. Registration fees (donations) are $15.00 for 2 or
more riders per cart and $10.00 for each single rider. We suggest you wear your WI colors or put them on your cart,
and BYOB and snacks if you do not wish to purchase them on site. No alcoholic beverages will be sold there, so as not
to contribute to cart drivers being under the influence!
Participants from
our clubs may ride with the WI colors section or with their neighbors or friends elsewhere in the line up.
For those of you have already registered, please take the time to e-mail tony.fanello@thevillages.com and say, "I have already registered and am a WI club member from the Lake Sumter chapter". He
will then check you off on his copy of our membership roster. Those who have not registered yet--skip that e-mail. Tony,
and his organizing committee in the Hope for the Warriors organization, will use our roster lists to identify how many of
us loyal Wisconsinites participated. LET'S ALL SHOW OUR SUPPORT FOR THIS VERY WORTHY CAUSE, and put our supportive
WI Clubs on the map!!
On Monday night, Nov. 15, 2010, our regular monthly
meeting night, we will enjoy a Friday Nite Fish Fry at Colony Cottage. This was a sold-out event last year, so get in
touch with Assistant Treasurer Lois Meidenbauer at (352) 348-9200 to buy your tickets when you finish reading this so as not
to be left out. Our entertainer will be The Piano Lady, Sara Kallioinen, who will give us a night of NAME THAT TUNE,
wherein each numbered table will become a participant. Prizes will be awarded to the top three tables (teams),
and the tunes will be from our favorite decades! Sounds like a rousing good time to me, especially great due to the
lack of dance floor space!!
I am looking forward to seeing all of you at these terrific events!!

AN AFTERTHOUGHT
Hello again,
I just wanted to bring up a few "forgots"
from the previous email.
1. If you're planning on paying for a membership and buying tickets for October Fest and/or the fish fry, and you plan
on paying by check, please bring a couple of checks. Unfortunately, we are not set up like a buffet where you select what
you want and pay for all of it at the end of the line. Depending on how we can set up, you may have to write up to three checks.
If
you have not renewed your membership prior to the meeting, please plan on doing that as the first thing at the meeting. If
your membership is not current, you will have a problem getting member prices for October Fest and will not be allowed to
buy tickets for the "members only" fish fry. Thank you for understanding our position and the necessity of our making
this request.
2. As you may be aware, our bylaws require us to create a nominating committee for the purpose of selecting candidates for
the Board. The selected nominees are to be presented to the general membership at the February meeting, and elections will
be held at the March meeting. Herein lies the two problem areas.
A. We need someone to volunteer to serve as the Chairperson
of the committee and anyone else who wishes to serve on the committee.
B. The Board (hereafter referred to as the "patient")
needs new blood. About five pints of it will ensure the patient's survival. Most parts of the patient are into their second
year of serving the W club. Being a portion of the patient can be a very gratifying experience. You develop new friends. You
have reason to interact more than normal with club members. You have a position of responsibility. You play a more active
role in the club. You make decisions that will affect the club experience of the membership, hence the success or failure
of the club. You get out of the club what you put into it. All in all, it's a rewarding opportunity.
By donating a pint
of blood to the patient, you will be given the opportunity the spend the balance of the 2010/2011 membership year working
right along with the patient. By the end of you "indoctrination period" you will be fully qualified to become
a patient yourself.
Remember! If the current patient dies, so does the club.

PRESIDENT'S CORNER
Welcome to all of the Wisconsin snowbirds that are
already back home with us.
We are ready to start the new
2010 - 2011 membership year, and we will hold our first meeting at 7:00 pm at the Colony Cottage Recreation Center on Monday,
September 20th. Yes, it's that time of year to renew your dues which are only a measly $5.00 per person--$10.00
per couple. We will be renewing memberships for those who haven't done so yet.
Of course, new members are also welcome. The only requirement is that the member (one person if it's a
couple joining) has to have resided in Wisconsin sometime in the past. Guests are welcome, but there will be a $5 charge as
in the past.
The Garth Brooks of golf, Golf Brooks
will be providing some terrific entertainment for us. Golf is a recording star of Country Western music and a composer/recording
star of comedy golf songs. Come on and tap you feet and listen to your favorite CW dongs and laugh to his golf songs.
You will want to arrive early in order to allow time to take care of membership
items, purchase tickets for the two exciting events listed below, and to get a good seat at a table. Doors to the meeting
will open at 6:15.
The first big event is October
Fest on October 18th. This year, due to changes in the pricing of the polo field, we have been forced
to find another location for the event. The Board has decided to hold it at Colony Cottage this year. We will have bocce ball
courts--or bocce golf--, shuffle board courts, basketball for shooting hoops, and use of the swimming pool. All this will
start at 4:00pm. Tickets are priced at $12.00/member and $15.00/guest. No tickets will be sold after October 10th.
We will have beer, brats, chicken, other sides and dessert and coffee. The Villages spectacular entertainer, Petrina,
will preside for dancing, singing, and whatever! Hope to see you there.
Back by popular demand is our very own "Monday Night" Friday Night Wisconsin Style Fish Fry. This
event will take place on Monday, November 15th at 7:00pm. Tickets for this event will be limited to the first 200 members
only, paid in advance. This is a "MEMBERS ONLY" event. No tickets will be sold to/for non-members.
Tickets are $10/member. By the way, the ad in the Daily Sun's Recreation News stated the price for these tickets
incorrectly. So take this price, right here in this e-mail, as the correct and final one. This event sold out well in advance
last year so don't be left out. Marble rye bread, lemon, haddock, special potatoes and coleslaw, etc. will be on
the menu.
Now, you may ask, "I can't make it to
the meeting to renew, and I want to buy tickets for the event(s). How can I do that?"
The answer is the United States Post Office. Send a check for the total amount due along with a stamped
self-addressed envelope to Gary Gerke, 450 Troy Loop, The Villages, FL, 32162. Tickets will not be sent if you forget
the stamped self-addressed envelope. Make sure to write on the check or a note explaining what you
want.
We are continuing to plan for a fun filled year of
meetings. Please let us know of any speakers or entertainers, that you may have come across, that you think the rest
of our members would enjoy. All of you are what this club is about.
See you on the 20th...................Mike Feeney

Hey, Cheeseheads!
The
Monday Night Fish Fry was certainly a huge success, and we are going to try to make it an annual affair. Of course,
the reason for its success is due to the efforts of Gary Gerke, our illustrious treasurer, in keeping the ticket money and
reservations straight; Jane Berse and Irv and Fran Smith for the super decor and table set up; Jeannie Ticsay and Nancy Nuss
for handling and supporting the 50/50 activities and--The Godfather, who made the evening perfect. Kudos to all of them!!!
Monday, March 15: Plan on attending our pre St. Patrick's bash starring The Villages'
famous 'Tomaura'. Plan to arrive early...6:15 p.m. The meeting will start promptly at 7:00 p.m., with their Irish entertainment to start promptly
at 7:30 p.m. Remember to B.Y.O.B., and green snacks!
Golf Outing: Ray Hass, from the Paradise club, will be available to sign up members who wish to participate in
the fall and spring joint club golf outings. Cost is $2 per member per outing. You can sign up for one or both of them. The
money will be used for prizes. If you have specific questions, talk to Ray at the meeting.
Membership Renewals: We will also be accepting membership renewals for our 2010-2011 membership year (June 1, 2010
to May 31, 2011). Dues will again be $5 per member. If you are considering joining the new WI club that will be forming at
Sea Breeze, feel free to join both clubs.
Thursday, March 25: The Wisconsin Club Relay For Life Poker Run takes place. "Poker cards" will be on
sale at the March meeting for this event. The cards will be $5 per card with no limit on the number you may purchase. Run
stops will be at the following recreation centers: Laurel Manor, Bridgeport, Churchill, Pimlico and Canal Street. Cash prizes
will be awarded.
April 1-2: Mark your calendars for this WI Singers & Dancers show, "Don't Stop The Music", for which
there will be 4 performances. We need to sell out both days! This spectacular event gives us the opportunity to keep
the costs down on our club's activities--while keeping the fun UP! Discount coupons, giving members a $2.00 discount,
and allowing each member to purchase 8 tickets, will be available at
this month's meeting. You can also pick up coupons at the homes of Dick Palm, Mike Feeney, and Gary Gerke.
Don't miss this energetic event by these terrific young people!
Monday, April 19th:
The WI Club Lake Sumter Spring Picnic will be held at the Polo Grounds and tickets will be on sale at the March 15th
meeting. The cost is $12.00/members, and $17.00/guests of members. We are still in the planning stage for this
too-much-fun event, and need all the help we can get, so please take the time to sign up on the sheets which will be at the
March 15 meeting. We need bartenders, parking attendents, 50/50 tickets helpers, a set up team, and a tear down
team. Please, WE NEED YOUR HELP !
WI Club Sea Breeze is moving forward with Ken Steussi and David Sturm at the helm of this movement. I will
be asking our club's approval to donate $1,000.00 seed money to help get the Sea Breeze Club started. The Paradise
chapter has already received approval for their $1,000.00 donation. When our club was started, Paradise donated $1,000.00
to help us get started, so we should do in kind.
Board Member Nominations:
Finding people who always attend the fun meetings and events AND are
interested in becoming involved in taking a board position has become a futile effort, much to the disappointment of your
current board! Unless, by some miracle, this happens at our March meeting, I, Mike Feeney, am willing to remain as President
for ONE more year-----only if I have a vice president in place who will consider assuming the presidency in May,
2011. This new VP will then have had an adequate amount of time to fully understand the presidential position.
It is not a killer workload....all the mechanisms are in place. It is important that this vibrant club continues to
grow. Other board
positions: Jane Berse wishes to step down as Secretary. Gary Gerke has expressed a wish to retain the positions of
Treasurer and the club website's Webmaster, should these be approved by the membership. Art Agamaite will be joining the
Sea Breeze club, therefore the position of Assistant Treasurer will become available. Of course, nominations will be accepted
from the floor for ALL of the board positions and the outcome will be determined by the membership.
Club photographer wanted: Do you consider yourself to be
a photographer? I don't mean a pro, semi-pro, or even an accomplished amateur. In other words, do you own a camera? You
see, we're really not fussy. If you own a camera (digital), like taking pictures, and would like to display your
talent (or lack of) on the club's website, we are looking for a person, or persons, to help document those "Kodak
moments" that appear at club meetings and events. For more information, contact Gary Gerke.
Thank you for your support, see you at the meeting, and good health to all.
Mike
